We already gave documents when we enrolled with HAFS, do you need them again?

Frequently Asked Questions

We do need the documents uploaded again to the new site. They are a legal requirement and there’s no way for them to be migrated over automatically.

To find where to upload them: AFTER you’ve registered your parent account AND added your students to your account, you’ll go to your account dashboard and click “students” to see a list of your students. On the right-hand side, you’ll see “view/edit.” Click that to answer student-specific enrollment questions and upload the docs. You’ll need to do that for each student.

If you do not have them readily available, you may either get them from your original email when you sent them in the first time OR, if needed, you may use the exemption waiver provided here. You must download the form, type your name, or print & sign. Change the file’s name to contain your student’s name and what it is (if you can), and then upload it to the correct slot.

The instructions do not always appear correctly on mobile devices, so it is much easier from a computer, but can be done from mobile devices following the following instructions:

The first slot is for age verification and is only necessary for new students who have never attended any other school, such as kindergarteners or those who have only been homeschooled.
The 2nd is health form, and the 3rd is immunizations. If you’re using an exemption waiver, you may put the same document in both the 2nd & 3rd slots.

Each slot will only upload one document. If your pages are all separate documents, combining them into one document is best. If you can’t do that, upload the page that contains the student’s name, date of birth and date of the document if possible.
The health an immunization documents are not required of international students, so they must use the exemption waiver to satisfy the website requirements.

The 2nd and 3rd slots BOTH MUST CONTAIN DOCUMENTS for the student’s enrollment to be changed from “Pending” to “Enrolled.”

When you’re uploading them, give them a few seconds to upload and attach before you click “update” at the bottom of the screen. There is a progress bar that shows them uploading. Give them time to upload, then click “update” to save them.

Once that’s done, your student’s account status will be changed from “pending” to “enrolled” and you will then have full access to the entire site, including enrollment verification letters, grading documents and more.
