How to register for a verified teacher account for discounts through ID.me

Before you begin, you must first request a teacher verification letter from the Documents page of your dashboard or a teacher ID card from the Resources page. You will use this to verify your teacher status with ID.me during verification. Once verified, proceed with the following ID.me instructions. You will also need a US Social Security Number.

From the main ID.me website, click the three dots in the upper right corner. Then click “Start Here” to create an ID.me account. Enter your personal email address and confirm it. You may add additional email addresses after your account is created. Once your email address is confirmed, choose the multi-factor authentication (MFA) option of your choice.

To use the teacher discounts on the site, you must add a verified teacher ID. After your account is created and verified, click “My Wallet,” then “Teacher” to add your verification ‘ID.’

Next, click “I do not have my state license number, but I can verify using documentation.”

Enter the state in which you teach (Florida).

On the next page, enter all your information, including your social security number. For the “where you teach” section, enter the following information:

Pensacola

Escambia County

Hillcrest Private Academy

K–12 school employee

I don’t have a teacher number.

Next, you must upload a verification document as proof of teacher status. Upload either the teacher verification letter OR your teacher ID card and submit it. The system will take a few minutes to confirm your teacher status. If successful, you should see this screen, and then you’ll be able to shop and receive either teacher or student discounts on the site.
